Title: The 100
Author:  Kass Morgan
Series: The Hundred (#1)
Publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers

An epic journey from the depths of outer space to a wild, futuristic Earth

In 3010, humanity lives in city-like spaceships orbiting far above Earth's toxic atmosphere. No one knows when, or even if, the planet will be habitable again. But faced with dwindling resources, government leaders know they must reclaim their homeland . . . before it's too late.

Now a hundred juvenile delinquents are sent on a high-stakes mission to re-colonize Earth. After a brutal crash landing, the teens arrive on a savagely beautiful planet. Confronting the dangers of this rugged new world, they struggle to form a tentative community and to get over their dark pasts. In order to survive, they must learn to trust - and even love - again.

Source: I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book whatsoever; it's my true opinion only.

I received an e-book of this from Little, Brown Books for Young Readers via NetGalley. I also own a physical copy. Thank you to the publishers for giving me a chance to read and review this.

I am COMPLETELY obsessed with the TV show based on this book, and in honesty, it made me want to read the book. So when I was lucky enough to get this for review as well as finding the physical copy in the shops, I jumped straight on it. I needed more in my life and I wasn't getting enough. It was like oxygen: I NEEDED MORE!!

Of course with any book to movie or book to TV adaptations, there are going to be some changes whether it's minor or major, so I wasn't expecting it to be exactly the same.

Personally I loved the book as well as the TV show (though I liked what they did with the TV show).

Clarke is an amazing female character. She is strong and I admire her. Her bravery and actions are comparable to Katniss from The Hunger Games

Bellamy is one of those mysterious guys that you can't help but love even with his ridiculous mistakes.

Wells I loved in the book. We don't get to see enough of him in the TV show, so reading about him more in the book is great.

A character that doesn't exist in the TV show which exists in the book is Glass. This makes it interesting, and that wayI get to learn about a new character. This character stays behind on the ship which is a great way for us to see what is happening there whilst the children are on Earth.

I loved all of the characters and learning about them. They don't necessarily tell the story from their point of view, but we get to see what happens when they're in the picture.

I frickin' adore the general storyline of the book. It just makes you think there is a possibility of this happening in the future. We could all live in space and Earth could be poisonous. I think that's why I really enjoy dystopian and sci-fi books a lot more.

I loved seeing the flash backs. This is a great way for us to learn about something that happened in the character's past.

I really enjoyed how the book started. Just like the TV show it's straight in there.
The ending also finishes leaving you gasping for more: like you need air.
And I need the next book in my life. I can't get enough of this series it seems. It totally deserves a five star rating.

If you enjoy sci-fi books, then give this a try.
