First of all I just want to talk about the cover of the book and how spooky it is.
I think it is greatly designed and suits the book perfectly. 

This book is also known as The Vanishing Season in the US. I also love that cover.

It's mystical and blue, and the fact it shows the tree with the lake is symbolic and shows meaning to the book.

The Moment Collector had an ancient and eerie feel to it when reading.

The novel is written very cleverly. It is beautiful, lyrical and descriptive.

I like what Jodi did making the ghost speak at the end of nearly every chapter. This way we get a feel to the ghost's feelings and thoughts.

The story is written in third person. This way we get to see what all characters are up to.

Maggie I found didn't often open up and share her feelings. At times I did feel sorry for her.

Pauline was a great friend in a sense that she's very outgoing and outspoken. She seems to glow radiance within the pages.

Liam is Pauline's best friend. They have been friends nearly all their lives and any friend of Pauline's is a friend to Liam.

Maggie adapted well into their world and I enjoyed reading about their lives. It was like it was in the past when TV's and electronics weren't as massive, so kids played together outside.

From this novel I wanted to know more about the ghost and I demanded more from the story as at times it did fall a little flat for me. 

The characters didn't seem to react as much to the murders like they should have. 

The ending of the book definitely left me with chills down my spine; it was very creepy!

In the end I did like the book and reckon if you like creepy stories with ghosts in, to give this one a go. I gave it 3.5 stars.
